Abstract: Проведен анализ существующих методик оптимизации маршрутной сети. Опираясь на данные анализа, разработана методика введения внешнего кольцевого маршрута, на основании которой разработан алгоритм его введения. По данным разработанной формулы прибыли автобуса от выполнения одного рейса и алгоритму разработана программа, которая позволяет выбрать схему внешнего кольцевого маршрута путем сравнения прибыли автобуса.
Description: One of the major problems of the city buses service at this stage is the route networks non modification for a long period of time. However, the scheme and distribution of city areas have changed significantly within recent years. The optimal networks formation techniques have outdated. The problems related to the optimization of the route network have been considered by numerous scholars and practitioners. They have developed a number of methods and techniques that optimize route network. However, most of them do not take into account economic indicators thus the analysis of publications justifies the need to develop techniques of the route network optimization by introducing an external circular route considering the current cities transport functioning peculiarities. Public transport steady functioning is one of the most important conditions for the country social and economic development. Despite the rapid growth of car ownership throughout the country within the recent years the main purpose of it is the full and timely response to the movement needs of all the categories of the country inhabitants. According to the experience of Ukraine the use of public transport can not only enables spending much less resources but also reducing the workload of the road network, creating conditions for improving road safety and environmental protection. When transporting passengers by bus specific indicators of road space and fuel consumption are much lower than those when transporting passengers by car. Arrangement of roads, specially dedicated for public transport, has the same effect as the construction of four lane highways designed for passenger vehicles movement. Therefore, under the present conditions particular attention is paid to the task of public transport top priority development. In this regard, one of the most important areas of public policy, implemented in the passenger transport sphere is establishing of a reasonable balance between the economic and social components. Route bus network should be optimized for motivating passengers to use public transport. One of the optimization ways is a ring route introduction. This should improve the quality of transport services due to the use of optimal movable stock and reduction of the travel time.
